International filmmakers Nina and Harsh, currently based in Slovenia, have built their reputation on creating wedding films that are as authentic, bold, and emotionally charged as the couples they celebrate. Rather than following trends or recreating the same cinematic formula, they focus on capturing the heartbeat of every wedding.
For Nina and Harsh, every love story deserves a film with its own rhythm and personality. Their approach is deeply personal, blending dynamic storytelling with genuine human connection.
In this interview, they share their distinctive style, tell why authentic emotion matters more than perfection, and what inspires them to create films that allow couples to relive their wedding. Fun, raw, and authentic. As much as we love curating beautiful, cinematic sequences in collaboration with our couples, what we truly value is when they feel comfortable enough with us to reveal themselves and show their soul.
Over the years, we’ve realized that what stays with people is not just how a wedding looked, but how it felt. Our style has evolved from simply documenting moments into creating films that feel deeply lived-in and emotionally true. We’re constantly chasing authenticity rather than perfection, and seeing each wedding as a creative collaboration with our couples, who are, for us, the heroes of the story.
Usually, it's the in-between moments. The deep breath before walking down the aisle, a parent quietly observing from the corner with moist eyes, the chaos of friends laughing during preparations, or the hugs and kisses right after the ceremony. Those unscripted transitions often reveal more than the big planned moments. We try to stay very present, observational and intuitive throughout the day so we can catch those emotional happenings as they naturally unfold.

Every culture brings its own rhythm, traditions, and way of expressing love, and that naturally shapes how we approach each story. Destination weddings add another layer to that, as the environment itself becomes part of the narrative, with everyone experiencing a new place together and embracing the unexpected. A wedding in Italy feels completely different from one in the Caribbean or France, not just visually, but in energy, pace, and emotion.
As filmmakers working worldwide, we never rely on a fixed approach. Instead, we let the culture, the destination, and the couple guide us. Because we take time to emotionally connect with our couples well before the wedding day, we arrive with a clear understanding of what matters most to them. That sensitivity allows us to adapt to each environment and shape a story that feels true to both the couple and the place they chose to celebrate in.
We consciously avoid approaching weddings with a repeatable formula or a checklist of “must-have” moments. We don’t try to recreate the same film over and over again, nor do we push couples into anything that feels unnatural or performative just for the camera.
Every couple has their own unique personality, chemistry, and dynamic, and we want the film to reflect that truth rather than what is trending or expected. For us, it’s always about emotional honesty over aesthetics alone.
Once we build trust and the couple feels comfortable enough to simply be themselves around us, the story naturally unfolds in its own unique way. In that sense, every film becomes a very honest reflection of who they are and the energy they share.

Always the feeling. A technically perfect shot means very little if it doesn’t carry emotion. Most of the time, the most meaningful moments are imperfect, fleeting, or happen unexpectedly.
Of course, we care deeply about visuals and composition as artists, but emotion will always come first, because that is what people truly connect with and remember.
We both bring different personalities to our work. Harsh is more outgoing, often focused on being in the moment, finding stories as they unfold, and creating a relaxed atmosphere that helps people feel comfortable and be themselves. Nina has a quieter approach, observing from the edges, looking for subtle creative moments, and working with light, shadow, and textures to capture the atmosphere and vibe of the day. Because we know each other so well, there’s a lot of unspoken communication while filming. We trust each other completely, and that trust allows us to work very instinctively during intense moments.

To be honest, editing is really where the soul of the film comes alive. We focus on recreating the feeling of the day rather than a chronological documentary. By carefully shaping pacing, sound design, music, silence, and the natural flow of moments, we craft a story that moves like memory itself. Our goal is to transport couples back into the emotion the day so they don’t just watch their wedding film, but they feel it again.
There’s the sensible answer… and then there’s the honest one.
One of the most unexpected moments happened when a guest got very drunk, jumped onto a revolving chair, and started doing a full strip show and got fully naked. The bridal party was cheering him on enthusiastically and everyone going crazy and laughing their guts out. It was equal parts hilarious and wildly fun. We were torn about filming it, but ultimately chose not to. Some moments become unforgettable precisely because they stay off camera and they only live in your mind.

Fast trends fade fast, but human emotion doesn’t, a story is sticky and timeless. We focus on storytelling, intimacy, and honest connection because those qualities remain timeless. We want our films to feel cinematic without being tied to a specific era or social media trend. If a couple watches their film thirty years from now, it should still feel emotionally real and relevant.
We do this by emotionally aligning ourselves with our couples and letting their personality, quirks, and feelings guide our creativity, we build the foundation of each story. We make a conscious effort to truly connect and earn their trust before ever picking up the camera, and that connection is what ensures the final film feels authentic and lasting.
We hope they feel everything really, not just the wedding day itself, but who they were in that chapter of their lives. The nervousness, the excitement, the chaos, the people around them, the way they looked at each other when no one else noticed. More than anything, we want the film to become an emotional time capsule that reconnects them to their love in an honest and meaningful way.
